Information **CODE OF CONDUCT**
Posted by: ACDP CoChair - 07-02-2015, 05:59 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

1) Keep posts on topic. This is a list forum for the discussion of Pagans & Paganism, with a particular focus in New York's Capital District. Posts regarding modern politics, science fiction, conspiracy theories, or anything else having nothing to do with the topic of the list subforum will be rejected (if the poster is on moderated status) or will cause the poster to be put on moderation (if s/he isn't already).

2) No Christian bashing. No Wicca bashing. No bashing of others' religions or beliefs, period.  No bashing of other organizations, individuals, or groups.  No exceptions.  Constructive criticism is fine, but that criticism should be directed towards the source rather than behind peoples' backs.  We're here to build our community, not to bring other people down.

3) No spam. Any ads posted will grant you an instant boot out the door.  Exceptions are granted to people who wish to post ads or events relevant to the Capital District Pagan community.

4) No flaming, insults, or intemperate language; in short, nothing you wouldn't want your parents to see.

5) When it comes to debates, please agree to disagree.  We all practice different traditions; some of us do so in a group, others of us prefer to practice solitary...and we all have something to learn from each other.

First time is a warning, second time you're on moderated posts, third time you're kicked off the list forum. No exceptions.

And now that we have all of the "don'ts" out of the way, here's what we would like to see:

1) Friendly discussion on how to make  Paganism as a faith more accessible to solitaries and seekers.
2) Information on practicing Paganism, whether alone, with your family, or in a group.
3) A welcoming environment for those who wish to converse about their relationships to their gods and to Paganism without fear of flames or other negativity.
4) A networking solution for those who wish to meet others who are also involved in Paganism, in whatever form.
5) A source of academic information & local resources to all, beginners and long time practitioners alike.
6) A discussion of current and next steps to take as far as continuing to build our spirituality within our lives and our communities.
